But Be Brave!
Pursuing Our Purposes on Earth As We Imagine Our Lives In Heaven
Pursuing Our Purposes on Earth As We Imagine Our Lives In Heaven
Yet Jesus tells us in Matthew 16:33 to be brave in this world because He has defeated it and will come back to gather us to the New Earth (Matthew 24:26-27). No one can conceive what wonders He has in store there, but Scripture is replete with clues, and when we set our hearts on them we won’t give up our faith when hard times come.
If we can imagine Heaven, the New Earth, and what we’ll do there, we can persevere through our difficulties now because we know they are temporary (2 Corinthians 4:17-18). When we look to our abilities and passions, we will discover our callings and minister faithfully to others using them. We will overcome the fears that keep us from doing satisfying and enjoyable work now and into eternity. We will live more focused and steadfastly during our brief sojourn on Earth as we seek God's glory in all we do.
But Be Brave is an activity book containing vocabulary words for comprehension, coloring pages, and other educational resources to help readers identify their gifts and talents, plan their days, and reach their goals. At the end of each chapter are question prompts, But Be Brave reflections, and thought bubbles to illustrate their ideas.
Jesus promised He’s preparing a place where there’s no more crying, pain, or death. Instead, we will have eternal peace and understanding of all things. Love will abound, and we will see Him face to face.
